A LEARNING COMMUNITY
Every lower school learner has a team of teachers who regularly meet to discuss their progress, identifying strengths to extend and areas for growth. The Lower School team collaborates to monitor and support each learner, benefiting from shared expertise. Homeroom teachers partner closely with their learners, with the goal of helping them thrive and reach their full potential every day.
LEARNING SPACES
Lower school learning spaces have flexible seating for collaboration, manipulatives for numeracy and literacy, and classroom libraries to inspire a love of reading. Materials for creativity and investigation are always accessible, and outdoor learning provides space for play, team challenges, and experiments.
LEARNING EXPEDITIONS
The city offers multiple opportunities to enhance learning and enrich inquiry through exploration outside the classroom. Our students often venture out into the city of Madrid to inquire into concepts at museums, local parks, gardens and even markets. Every learning expedition becomes a case study from which to gather data!
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
A variety of afternoon activities which are organized by trimesters are offered at the close of the academic day. These activities offer our learners opportunities to participate in sports and exercise, the arts, outdoor learning, language clubs and games. There will be multiple opportunities to allow learners to commit to an activity or sport and even try something different each trimester!
