Welcome from our Director of Brewster Murcia
We welcome you to our website and encourage you to read about what makes Brewster’s particular approach to education powerful and special.
Why BrewsterGreetings All,
Welcome to Brewster Murcia! I am proud to introduce you to our school and our community, and I look forward to meeting you on our beautiful campus located in El Palmar. As you read our website, you will discover a new and vibrant school that currently provides a world-class student-centered education to students from Nursery to Grade 7. We will continue to add a grade a year until we are a Nursery to grade 12 school.
Brewster Murcia is a values-driven school that challenges and supports all students to achieve success. Our children engage in joyful learning and are encouraged to be caring, curious, creative, and persistent. The students enjoy an enviable 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio, and we are committed to maintaining small class sizes. This approach allows our teachers to build positive and supportive relationships with each student and to differentiate the learning environment to best meet the needs, aspirations, and challenges of every student in our care.
Although we are a new school in Spain, we have a deep connection and share a mission and vision with a 207-year-old school - Brewster Academy - located in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Additionally, Brewster operates two schools in Madrid. As a family of schools, we share a deep commitment to providing an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment that seeks to prepare our students for lives of purpose. The Brewster family of schools allows us to share resources, advance teaching and learning, and provide students with unique learning opportunities across our campuses and across the world.
As the Director of Brewster Murcia, I am fortunate to lead a talented group of teachers who are endlessly creative, caring, and loving. Together, we have fostered a warm and familial community environment where each child feels welcome, known, and supported. The language of instruction is English, and we are fortunate to have a group of native English speakers who have come to call Murcia home. Our teachers are members of the local community and many have lived in the region for a number of years. This unique situation helps create a stable and predictable learning environment.
The best way to discover Brewster Murcia is to arrange a visit through our Admissions Office. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to seeing you on campus.
Warmly,
Jonathan Fouser
